Position Summary Keystone is entering an exciting new chapter emphasizing innovation, agility, and digital enablement. The Small Commercial Solutions Manager plays a critical role in shaping this transformation by executing and continuously improving solutions for micro and small commercial account segments.
This leader focuses on operational strategy, workflow modernization, automation and AI‑driven opportunities, and scalable service models that elevate the small commercial experience for agencies, clients, and internal teams. The role balances strategic thinking and hands‑on execution, working at the intersection of operations, technology, underwriting, and field partners to develop a best‑in‑class Small Business Solution (SBS) program.
Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Delivery
Expand SBS capabilities by integrating automation, AI‑supported triage, and digital intake tools.
Design and implement scalable solutions for small commercial servicing in collaboration with carrier strategy, sales enablement, IT, and operations.
Identify opportunities to increase workflow efficiency and reduce manual work.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable implementation plans.
Plan and oversee the transition of accounts into Small Commercial Solutions.
Evaluate program performance and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy, cycle time, and client experience.
Strategic Collaboration
Collaborate with operations, transformation, underwriting, service teams, IT, and agency partners.
Work with sales, strategy, and placement teams to support integrated business strategies.
Use data and market insights to evaluate and improve processes.
Represent agency and frontline needs within broader organizational initiatives.
Organize and facilitate stakeholder or field committee meetings.
Serve as a connector across departments to align SBS with organizational goals, performance targets, and operational metrics.
Monitor market trends, carrier appetite, and emerging technologies relevant to small commercial distribution.
Identify and implement automation opportunities based on workflow analysis, technology capabilities, and vendor tools.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop business requirements and support system optimization efforts with Operations, vendors, and IT.
Assist with vendor evaluation and management related to small commercial capabilities.
Support the development of standardized workflows that improve accuracy and reduce E&O exposure.
Project Management & Execution Oversight
Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, escalating items as needed.
Maintain project documentation and provide visibility to leadership.
Measure ROI and performance outcomes for SBS initiatives.
Training & Support
Support training efforts to promote adoption of SBS capabilities.
Contribute to creating training materials, job aids, and onboarding plans.
Act as a liaison between end users and solution teams to gather feedback and address needs.
Provide matrixed leadership to cross‑functional team members supporting SBS.
Offer guidance and professional development within the SBS team.
Promote a culture that supports continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty leadership (sales and/or service), including at least 2 years working with small commercial account processes.
Strong understanding of small commercial operations.
Experience leading change and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated project management and system implementation experience.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 50% during the first year, and approximately 25% ongoing.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law.
Remote Work Environment Preference given to candidates in Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.
