Job Summary TheManager of Communications & Servicesisa full-time positionresponsible fordeveloping,managingandmaintainingthe Fraternity’sdigital andinterpersonal relations with members and partners of the Chi Phi Fraternity.The successful candidatewillplaya key role inensuring consistent support for chaptersand members through a variety of outreach efforts, whilehelping advance theChi Phi mission, values, and visionthrough effective communication, member engagement and service coordination.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as Managing Editor of the Chakett, Chi Phi’s bi-annual publication.
Develop and manage overall communications strategies and projects, including strategic plans, annual reports, events, celebrations, and new programming initiatives.
Ensure staff members are aware of current communication activities, priorities, and their integration with Fraternity’s goals and objectives.
Create content on Chi Phi Fraternity social media platforms and design creative ways to solicit and share member stories.
Update and maintain the Fraternity website and microsites.
Oversee usage of Chi Phi’s brand identity and trademarks.
Develop digital marketing and related collateral content for national programming, expansion, and other initiatives as directed.
Compile, design, and distribute news releases, marketing collateral, newsletters, and other pieces as requested.
Develop branding and marketing materials for use by Chapters.
Collaborate with other staff members in planning and executing Alumni and Advisor educational programs. Assist with Chi Phi Clubs, Alumni Associations and other bodies associated with Alumni members.
Develop and maintain Member Resources, including materials and resources available in the myChiPhi portal.
Oversee administration of the Fraternity’s annual awards program.
Collaborate in the administration of Chi Phi’s Accreditation Program.
Work within the Fraternity’s membership database to make updates, ensure accuracy and produce reports for constituents. Communicate with Chapters to ensure accurate reporting.
Oversee program and event registration within the database.
Assist with the planning and execution of programs such as Alphas and Thetas Academy, Three Star Academy, and the Chi Phi Congress.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree plus two years’ experience in a national fraternity/sorority headquarters, university Greek Life Office, or graduate school experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Applicants should demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple overlapping production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Comfortable presenting in front of large groups.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills, decision making skills, and multi-tasking ability.
Ability to travel as needed.
Previous experience as a Chapter Leadership Consultant and Fraternity or Sorority membership is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite products, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Salesforce; Monday; email and Web content management systems
This full-time professional will work remotely. Some travel is expected for Fraternity programs and events. This position offers a significant opportunity to affect positive change in a vibrant, growing organization that team members care about. This position provides an opportunity to hone consulting, managerial, and communications skills. The Manager of Communications & Services will gain significant firsthand experience in business administration, not-for-profit management, student conduct adjudication, and student development.
The Fraternity provides a generous benefits package which includes medical and dental insurance, long term disability, the maximum allowable travel per-diem allowance, and cell phone expenses. The position also offers generous vacation and sick time in addition to salary.
