An exciting opportunity for a Business Improvement Manager to join an airline catering & retail company based in the Airport Logistics Park, St. Margrets. We offer a comprehensive range of Inflight Catering, Onboard Retail and Logistics services across all of the Irish airports. Sitting within the Senior Leadership Team, The Business Improvment Manager will lead and develop the business improvement strategy for dnata Ireland by continuously reviewing and enhancing operational and strategic practices. Drive cross-departmental process improvements and foster collaboration across all business functions. Take ownership of the planning, execution, and delivery of business improvement projects, applying project management principles and tools to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with company objectives and Irish regulatory requirements. Responsbilities Support the definition and execution of Irelands business strategy, focusing on operational excellence and process optimisation. Lead and manage business improvement projects that span multiple functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and Irish regulatory requirements. Champion cross-functional transformation initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies to deliver measurable impact. Apply project management principles and tools to plan, execute, monitor, and report on improvement initiatives. Identify, recommend, and implement best practice improvements to systems, processes, and structures to enhance operational effectiveness, leveraging data analytics. Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions, Kaizen events, and cross-functional meetings to identify improvement opportunities and drive consensus. Advise management and stakeholders on process improvement opportunities, providing operational and strategic business advice tailored to the Irish market. Liaise with support functions (Finance, HR, IT, etc.) to ensure effective implementation and ongoing management of agreed activities. Develop and promote successful working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers in Ireland. Benchmark against Irish and European industry standards, including customer and regulatory perspectives. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the Ireland business. Deliver training and coaching to build internal capabilities in operational excellence methodologies and embed a high-performance mindset. Support the team in managing the change This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager. The Requirments 6+ years experience in business improvement, operational excellence & process optimisation, or a related field. Management consulting experience would be benefical Experience applying project management methodologies and using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process mapping tools Strong project management, change management and process improvement skills As we are a regulated entity within the aviation industry, every sucessful candiate must go through a 5 year background and garda vetting as part of our onboarding process.
