American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract in an acute care cardiac cath lab setting, with proficiency in scrubbing and familiarity with PCI and peripheral procedures.
Job Details
• Acute care hospital cardiac cath lab setting,
• Currently 1 cath lab, with plans to expand to 2 cath lab rooms,
• Caseload varies from 0 to 5-6 cases per day,
• Procedures include PCIs, peripheral interventions, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filter placements,
• STEMI experience is a plus; all STEMIs are transferred to a nearby facility,
• Cath Lab Techs are required to scrub,
• Uses Cerner, Sensis, and Merge EMR/imaging systems, as well as GE equipment,
• 8-hour day shifts starting at 9:30 AM,
• Call may occasionally be required,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required,
• Active ACLS, BLS, ARRT certification, and Fluoroscopy permit required - pending certifications will not be accepted,
• License required if applicable - active state or compact (NLC) license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted,
• Experience sufficient to assist in training new staff,
• Knowledge of intra-aortic balloon pumps required,
• Cerner experience preferred,
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates,
• A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,
Additional Information
• Perform scrubbing duties for PCIs, peripheral interventions, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filter placements,
• Expected to leverage experience to assist in training newer clinical staff,
• Scrubs are provided,
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered,
• A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
