The Manager in Training will fully manage the store's staff and operations in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This is an entry level management role within the store level.
Responsibilities include demonstrating leadership in driving sales and profitability, assisting Store Manager/Assistant Manager with communicating the store's operational goals, assisting Store Manager in monitoring and evaluating individual performance, demonstrating proper leadership skills to assist Store Manager in managing the store's staff, demonstrating timely execution and compliance of floor set guides and promotions, assisting Store Manager/Assistant Manager in directing and maintaining merchandise presentation, recognizing, understanding and communicating customer merchandise needs, working with the Store Manager to ensure markdowns and transfers are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and assisting Store/Assistant Manager in ensuring store meets Company standards for cleanliness.
Key partners include Store Management, Human Resources, District Manager, and Asset Protection.
Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, at least 2+ years' experience in retail preferred, high school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required, able to respond to store alarm problems as needed, communication and organizational skills, strong drive to achieve results, takes initiative and has problem solving skills, candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift, and lifting between 15-30 pounds.
