Role Description Applix is hiring multiple Electrical Wiring Harness Design / Lab Support Engineers for full-time, on-site roles across Tucson, AZ; Peoria, IL; Decatur, IL; and Hyderabad, India. This is a hands-on engineering role for individuals who want to work close to machines, prototypes, and real-world systems—not just behind a desk. You will own end-to-end wiring harness design using Creo and Pro/Cabling, including 3D routing, 2D drawings, and schematics, while also supporting instrumentation, data acquisition, and system-level testing across lab, shop, plant, and field environments. You will work directly with engineers, technicians, and operators to design, build, instrument, test, and troubleshoot machine systems during NPI, validation, and production support phases. Qualifications (Must-Have) Strong experience in electrical wiring harness design including 3D routing, 2D drawings, and electrical schematics Hands-on experience with Creo + Pro/Cabling (MANDATORY) Solid understanding of electrical systems, connectors, sensors, and harness architectures Experience troubleshooting wiring, signal integrity, and sensor/system-level issues Experience working in lab, shop floor, plant, or field environments with real hardware Experience supporting NPI, xywuqvp prototype builds, validation, or manufacturing programs Nice to Have Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) or similar heavy equipment OEMs Experience in heavy equipment, off-highway, automotive, aerospace, or industrial systems Familiarity with CAN/J1939, telematics, embedded systems, or machine electrical architecture Experience with tools such as eDAQ, TCE, DewesoftX, DatK, CANalyzer, ET, Teamcenter, Windchill Exposure to structured lab testing environments or ISO 17025 processes Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
