Support accurate and compliant cost management by updating standard costs, analysing cost variances with Operations, and contributing to the annual operations budget. Strengthen CSI (ERP) usage across teams, ensure accurate inventory valuation through monthly reviews, counts and reconciliation of 3PL’s. Finance input into COQ development while partnering with cross functional teams to drive operational and financial improvements. This role is based primarily in Galway or Shannon and, as the role supports operations across both sites, it will require regular inter‑site travel.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires regular inter‑site travel, as the role supports operations across both Galway and Shannon sites.
Update of standard costs annually based on the year‑to‑date actuals and budgeted projections.
Track actual‑to‑standard cost variances and investigate in conjunction with Operations.
Assist in the preparation of the annual operations budget.
Work with operations and other departments to improve accuracy and use of CSI.
Review inventory provision on a monthly basis and post adjustments to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
Annual inventory count management in manufacturing facilities and 3PL monthly reconciliations.
Finance lead for COQ. Work closely with Quality, Operations and Engineering to develop this metric.
Work as a business partner with the other functions of the business as assigned.
Work closely with supply chain to ensure the integrity of cycle counting process.
Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis in the area of product cost as required.
Key Skills
Experience of costing goods, valuing inventory and analysing cost variances in a manufacturing environment.
Data analysis and numeric skills with the ability to evaluate and present data.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance immediate/long term priorities.
Experience using ERP software packages.
Advanced Excel skills are essential and excellent overall MS Office/computer literacy.
Proven ability to achieve on commitments through cross‑functional co‑operation and influencing, including customers, commercial, technical & operational colleagues.
Experienced in leading structured collaborative problem solving, involving data‑based decision making.
Experienced in business process improvement.
Strong competency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel. Comfortable with data analysis.
