For additional information about us, please visit our website. Overview Brightstar Lottery is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced leader to step into the role of Director of Cloud DevOps. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who is also technically skilled, aiming to shape the future of our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate development and operations teams, cultivating a culture that emphasizes continuous delivery, operational excellence, and innovation. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Create and implement a robust cloud and DevOps strategy that aligns with business objectives and promotes long-term growth and innovation.
Team Leadership:
Inspire, mentor, and develop a team of high-achieving DevOps, Cloud, and SRE engineers, encouraging technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Infrastructure Management:
Design and oversee cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring optimal availability, scalability, and performance.
CI/CD Pipeline Ownership:
Manage and enhance our CI/CD pipelines for swift, secure, and dependable software deployment.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Promote and mature IaC practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
Cloud Governance & FinOps Alignment:
Collaborate with Cloud Governance and FinOps teams to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
Work alongside security teams to integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into all cloud and deployment workflows, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Engage with Engineering, Product, and executive teams to synchronize deployment workflows with business timelines and communicate DevOps metrics effectively.
Innovation:
Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and automate processes to foster innovation within the organization.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on cloud operations or DevOps.
Proven expertise in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a successful track record of managing multi-cloud environments.
Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure utilizing modern DevOps tools.
Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Proficient with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong grasp of monitoring, observability, and incident management best practices.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure certifications) are highly desirable.
Success Profile Leading Complexity Leading People Leading the Business Leading Self #LI-BK1 The salary for this role ranges from $117,880 to $240,000, varying based on experience, skills, and the specific work location. Actual compensation may vary based on these factors.
