Residential Childcare Support Worker

• Competitive Salary:
  • Unqualified: Base salary of £24,604.58, earning up to £32,348.58 with sleep-in shifts.
  • Qualified: Base salary of £27,107.08, earning up to £34,851.08 with sleep-in shifts.
• Location: Dorchester
• Flexible Working Hours: Shift pattern on rotation, including 7 x 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing tailored care packages to our young residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people.
• Building and maintaining positive, trusting relationships.
• Encouraging the development of individual interests.
• Working effectively as part of a team, accepting guidance and direction.

• Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
• Flexibility in availability for shift work.
• Willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with a goal to upgrade to Level 4.
• A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A commitment to learning and teamwork.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
• Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
