What We Offer:- Competitive Salary:
- Unqualified: Base salary of £24,604.58, earning up to £32,348.58 with sleep-in shifts.
- Qualified: Base salary of £27,107.08, earning up to £34,851.08 with sleep-in shifts.
- Location: Dorchester
- Flexible Working Hours: Shift pattern on rotation, including 7 x 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing tailored care packages to our young residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people.
- Building and maintaining positive, trusting relationships.
- Encouraging the development of individual interests.
- Working effectively as part of a team, accepting guidance and direction.
- Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Flexibility in availability for shift work.
- Willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with a goal to upgrade to Level 4.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A commitment to learning and teamwork.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
- A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
- Up to 6 weeks of holiday per year.
