Residential Childcare Support Worker

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be based in one of our family-style homes in Heysham or rural North Lancashire, each supporting a maximum of four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Your mission? To help them build confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing environment.

• Deliver high-quality care and key worker responsibilities, consistently exceeding Ofsted National Minimum Standards.
• Contribute to individual care plans and follow all legal requirements and Bay View policies.
• Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals.
• Maintain a culture of trust, respect, and teamwork within the home.
• Support children with daily activities, helping them build routines, confidence, and life skills.
• Supervise young people closely, responding to signs of concern and de-escalating situations as needed.
• Participate in activities with children, acting as a positive role model.
• Ensure the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• If you do not already hold a relevant qualification, you will complete either the Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a commitment of 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where all our homes are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

• Basic salary of £25,563.20, with the potential to earn up to £32,283.20 including sleep-in shifts.
