Job Summary:
Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our inventory data. Your expertise will directly impact our Logistics efficiency and profitability. We maintain a strong focus on Safety and ensure all staff are equipped with the appropriate PPE .
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by tracing inventory movement.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and valuation.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as required.
  • Oversee the proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including Safety regulations and the use of PPE .
  • Contribute to optimizing warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
  • Assist with tasks requiring Lifting and handling of inventory as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving physical inventory checks and some Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Commitment to upholding rigorous Safety standards and adhering to PPE requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
