Join us in building the infrastructure of tomorrow! We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to thrive as both an individual contributor and a project anchor. In this capacity, you will lead technical direction, mentor fellow engineers, and facilitate collaboration across teams. We are excited to find candidates who exhibit intellectual curiosity and readiness to take risks while nurturing a diverse and positive work environment. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing distributed systems.
Providing technical leadership and collaborating with stakeholders to outline strategic roadmaps.
Managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
Mentoring and training team members on design best practices and coding standards.
Creating foundational infrastructure components for all engineering teams in production (e.g., dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration).
Writing high-quality, well-tested code to meet our customers' needs.
What we're looking for: 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proven success in architecting and developing impactful solutions to complex problems.
A deep passion for building an open financial system that connects the world.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in a rapidly expanding organization (from a small team to hundreds of engineers).
Familiarity with blockchain technologies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
Experience transitioning from a large monolithic application to microservices.
Proficiency in languages and tools such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, and Postgres.
A background in developing financial, high-reliability, or security systems.

The target annual base salary for this position may range from $218,025 to $256,500 USD, excluding equity and bonuses. Total compensation may also include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
