Senior Reporting Accountant

A well-established and highly regarded organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Reporting Accountant to join its finance team in Dublin. This is a broad and visible role suited to a qualified accountant who enjoys working across financial reporting, management accounts, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, budgeting and portfolio-level finance support.

This opportunity would suit someone coming from industry who is comfortable managing a varied workload, meeting deadlines, and producing clear, accurate reporting for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports across a portfolio of entities
  
• Take ownership of reporting packs, ensuring all information is complete, accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines
  
• Produce detailed variance analysis, commentary and insights to support decision-making
  
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and reforecasts
  
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, control accounts and month-end close processes
  
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth delivery of reporting requirements
  
• Work closely with operational and non-finance teams to explain financial performance and reporting outcomes
  
• Assist with year-end financial statement preparation, audit queries and statutory reporting requirements
  
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards
  
• Review financial data, identify discrepancies and drive improvements in reporting quality
  
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes, systems and reporting efficiencies
  
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, projects and ongoing improvements across the wider finance function

• Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  
• Likely to have 3+ years’ post-qualified experience, though strong profiles outside this will also be considered
  
• Strong background xcfaprz in financial reporting, management accounts and month-end close
  
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships
  
• Strong Excel and reporting systems skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture
