We are hiring a proficient Reach Truck Operator for our facility in Boise, Idaho. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for navigating narrow aisles and high-reaching storage areas to move, stack, and retrieve inventory. This role is crucial for maximizing warehouse space utilization and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will operate specialized equipment, requiring precision, spatial awareness, and a strong adherence to Safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with reach trucks and a commitment to operational excellence. You will work collaboratively with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory levels and support shipping and receiving functions. Regular equipment checks and adherence to operational procedures are part of the daily routine. Wearing the correct PPE at all times is non-negotiable to ensure your well-being and the safety of those around you. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products in high-density racking systems.
- Safely navigate narrow aisles and elevated storage locations.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Perform pre-operational checks on the reach truck and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure correct usage of required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse logistics operations.
- Capability for some manual Lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a reach truck is essential.
- Certification for reach truck operation is highly desirable.
- Understanding of warehouse racking systems and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of equipment operation and Safety procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting .
- Familiarity with logistics best practices.
