Seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our dynamic logistics operations in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse environment. You will be responsible for operating and performing basic maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Additionally, you will assist with inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to safety are essential. All technicians must be proficient in the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere strictly to safety protocols. This position involves frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds and requires physical dexterity and stamina. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
- Assist in the receiving, storing, and shipping of materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience operating warehouse machinery, particularly forklifts.
- Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
