*Job Summary*
Vertex Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Manager leading IT operation and systems lifecycle management to facilitate business growth, with a focus on aircraft and military simulation programs. This role oversees strategic and day-to-day management of IT activities, system operations, purchasing, and subcontractor\\vendor administration while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable government regulations.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with IT\\Cloud infrastructure, server\\client systems, simulation hardware\\software, and related services, along with proven leadership in system architect, IT operations, cybersecurity, vendor management, contract negotiation, and compliance oversight.
A strong working knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, CMMC, ITAR, and other industry\\government regulations is required.
*Key Responsibilities:*
IT Strategy & Leadership
* Lead enterprise IT strategy aligned with Leadership Team Vision, Regulatory Compliance and Industry Trends * Serve as senior authority for IT risk, security posture, and technology investments * Advise executive leadership on secure system design and compliance risks
Infrastructure & Systems Management
* Oversee and secure networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments * Ensure system availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery * Lead IT projects and infrastructure modernization efforts * Manage IT budgets, licensing, and controlled assets * Track service performance metrics
Cybersecurity Compliance & Certification
* Own cybersecurity controls and compliance with CMMC Level 2\\NIST 800-171, RMF, and customer security requirements * Coordinate security audits, POA&Ms, and remediation activities * Support ATO processes and continuous monitoring activities
Team & Vendor Management
* Lead cleared IT staff and contractors * Manage cleared vendors and technology partners * Ensure personnel and system access controls align with clearance requirements
Project & Contract Support
* Research and finetuning IT components supporting contracts\\projects * Engaged in IT aspect of product design with classified\\unclassified government or commercial contract requirements
Business Enablement
* Support engineering and program teams operating in programs * Collaborate with Vertex's difference Business Functions to optimize business operations\\process flows * Translate technical risk into mission-focused business recommendations
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* 10+ years of progressive IT experience * 3-5+ years in IT leadership or management * Familiar with Microsoft GCC High\\Azure Government Cloud infrastructure * CMMC Level 2\\NIST 800-171 Cybersecurity Compliance implementation experience, NIST 800-53\\ISO27000 experience is a plus * Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret required) * Experience supporting classified or regulated environments
TECHNICAL SKILLS
* Secure network and systems administration * Cloud platforms in regulated environments * Cybersecurity frameworks and compliance experience preferred * Software development and Lifecycle management experience preferred
EDUCATION
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* ITIL, CISSP, CISM, PMP, or cloud certifications * Experience supporting DoD or IC programs * Master's degree a plus
*Work Environment:*This position is based in a professional office setting and operates primarily in an on-site environment.

*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work*This is a full time, exempt position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
*Travel:*5% - 10% travel is anticipated for this position to support customer, vendor, and partner engagement.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
