We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This critical role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity in our logistics environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflows, implementing best practices, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics. Your focus will be on optimizing processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, and fostering a safe and motivating work environment. Your leadership will directly contribute to the success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conduct regular safety audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve productivity within the logistics framework.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Report on key performance indicators and operational metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
