We are looking for a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this key role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, playing a critical part in our logistics chain. Your primary duties will include receiving goods, accurately checking them against purchase orders, inspecting for any damage, and diligently entering all received items into our inventory system. A sharp eye for detail and strong organizational abilities are essential. You will work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to resolve any shipping discrepancies, ensuring precise record-keeping. Our commitment to safety is paramount; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, involving walking and standing, and the capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload inbound shipments from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and item numbers against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or overages.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory system.
- Tag and stage received items for distribution to appropriate areas.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving clerk or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
