Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Video & Content Editor to help us bring our story to life through engaging visual content. You'll work closely with our communications team to edit interviews, support social media content and transform footage into compelling narratives that inspire our audience. This is a remote, flexible volunteer position ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio and contribute to meaningful cultural programming.
Key Responsibilities
As a Volunteer Video & Content Editor, you will:
Edit video content for social media, website, and digital campaigns (e.g., reels, shorts, highlights).
Transform raw footage (interviews, events, creative sessions) into polished stories with captions, transitions, music, and effects.
Create short-form content optimized for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Maintain and organize media assets (video files, project files, final exports).
Coordinate with the communications team to ensure videos are aligned with brand tone and messaging.
Support content storytelling by integrating graphics, subtitles, and simple motion elements where appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong visual storytelling instincts and creative editing skills.
Familiarity with short-form content trends (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
Ability to work independently, manage media assets, and meet agreed timelines.
Passionate about art, creativity, and mission-driven communication.
Time Commitment
Approximately up to 5 hours per week (flexible schedule).
Project timelines will vary based on content needs.
