ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works collaboratively with department personnel to gather reporting requirements, assimilate data, build data connections when necessary and provide information needed. Coordinates low-level projects with some oversight. Assists with data extraction and minor transformations as part of an overall ETL process. Generates and maintains reports and dashboards using current tools. Gathers an understanding of business procedures to assess and organize data needed for research, compliance, and normal business practices. Maintains appropriate documentation used for the design, coding and utilization of data. Effectively and timely communicates updates to reports and dashboards. Maintains data integrity and security to keep data management systems current. Explores and identifies opportunities for improvements; recommends enhancements to improve and optimize the environment. Keeps abreast of trends, best practices, and new developments pertaining to data management and analytics. Performs other duties, tasks and specialized projects as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Required Licenses and/or Certifications Epic Certification training should be attended at the first available class, and certification/accreditation in the applicable module(s) must be current or obtained within 30 calendar days of completing training.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or relevant combination of education and experience. 0 - 2 years in a Data/ Business/ Systems Analyst role. Entry to mid-level SQL experience.
Preferred Education and Experience Previous healthcare information systems experience. Cerner/Epic experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiarity with business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Cogito, Crystal, Clarity, SAP BO). Possesses a questioning attitude, pays attention to detail, exhibits strong communication skills, critical thinking and analytical capabilities. Highly self-motivated and flexible while able to accept direction with the completion of tasks. Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
