Security Specialist for International Borders

A challenging career in federal law enforcement awaits those who take on this critical role.

• Patrol international borders and coastal waterways using various vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles and motorcycles.
• Inspect documents records of individuals suspected of violating immigration customs laws to prevent illegal activities.

Duties include:

•     Detect and apprehend undocumented noncitizens smugglers contraband including tracking interpreting physical evidence illegally entered persons goods;


•     Collaborate with other agencies to share intelligence information regarding border security threats.


•     Implement effective strategies to prevent smuggling operations by detecting patterns behaviors and trends associated with illicit activity.
