Description:
I've built a faith-based screen time app designed to help Muslims reduce time spent on distracting apps by introducing intentional pauses. When a user attempts to open a selected app (such as social media or games), the app intercepts the action and presents a short Islamic reflection drawn from the Qur'an or authentic duʿāʾ to encourage mindfulness, intention, and self-control before continuing. The goal is not to function as a traditional prayer app but more of a screen time focus app. It gently redirects moments of distraction into moments of awareness, helping users build discipline, strengthen their relationship with Allah, and reclaim their time in a meaningful way.
Where we are: The app is ~90% complete and functionally works. I want to keep the flow and general layout but the ui could be a lot prettier.
Goal: visual reskin. I want to keep the flow but reskin and make the appearance appealing.
What we're building:
- Mobile productivity / screen-time app
- Calm, clean, premium Islamic aesthetic
- Existing React Native app (you do NOT need to code)
Skills Requirements:
- Figma
- Muslim designers preferred (not required)
- Strong mobile UI/UX design experience
- Clean, modern design style
Timeline
- Paid test task first (1 screen)
- If successful, additional screens to follow
- Expect quick turnaround
