Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Operations to lead and oversee the daily functions of our organization. This senior leadership role requires a dynamic individual capable of driving operational excellence, fostering business growth, and implementing innovative process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, strategic vision, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. As a key member of our executive team, the Director of Operations will play a vital role in shaping the company's future success.

Duties

Leadership

  • Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility.
  • Analyze internal operations, processes and technologies to identify improvements.
  • Develop actionable strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the leadership team.
  • Proactively follow up with the leadership team if and when goals are not being achieved to determine why objectives are not being met.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Work autonomously while ensuring the expectations of the leadership team are readily met and exceeded.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.
  • Serve as liaison between staff and leadership team regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.

Management

  • Provide direct and ongoing support and supervision for IT, Quality Assurance, Training and Compliance.
  • Oversee daily operations through collaboration with leadership team and department managers, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating meetings.
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Manage key relationships and build a process to track and nurture.
  • Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and sustainability, individually and organizationally.

Fund Development & Grant Management

  • Analyze and manage all processes according to policies and procedures.
  • Researches and writes non-federal grant proposals to secure funding that aligns with organizational needs and priorities.
  • Manages and expands the donor program, fostering relationships with individual and institutional donors to increase philanthropic support.
  • Develops and implements strategies to grow sustainable funding streams through grant opportunities and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and impact.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a business or management/supervisory role required
  • Demonstrated success with applying for and administration of non-federal funding (major foundations, etc)
  • Extensive experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
  • Experience with community-based domestic violence/victim assistance programs, human services, social services or related direct client services.
  • Knowledge of the history of the battered women's movement in the United States and the impact on Native Americans.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $84,600.00 per year
