Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their formative years. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development in children aged one to three years. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with families and team members to support each child's unique journey and ensure a positive, enriching experience for every toddler.
Must have 90 hrs lead qualification.
Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for toddlers
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones regularly
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's daily experiences and developmental needs
- Lead daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play with patience and sensitivity
- Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies that foster respect and self-regulation
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health standards, and safety protocols including first aid procedures
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare or preschool environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers aged one to three years
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an organized, safe learning space
- Ability to implement engaging activities that support early learning goals in areas like language, motor skills, and socialization
- Experience with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain training upon hire
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with parents, guardians, and team members
- Compassionate caregiving approach combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
