What You’ll Be Doing:As a SHE Advisor, you will be at the forefront of enhancing safety and governance within our Submarines business. Your role will involve:
- Delivering expert consultation: Provide process management support to a diverse range of stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leading process development: Facilitate activities that enhance our operational processes.
- Guiding on SHE standards: Offer timely and consistent coaching on Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation to support all organizational activities.
- Enhancing safety culture: Contribute to the development of a robust safety culture while actively supporting the SHE improvement program.
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships: Interface professionally with key stakeholders, including functional leads, regulatory bodies, contractors, and customers.
- Executing operational plans: Ensure the effective and timely delivery of all relevant elements of the Safety, Health, and Environment Operational Plan across all submarine sites.
Essential:
- Proven background in developing and implementing robust management systems.
- Experience in drafting policy documents and formal documentation.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and industry guidance.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering training and coaching to individuals or teams.
- Understanding of data record retention practices and compliance requirements.

In this pivotal role, you will contribute to one of the UK’s most advanced engineering programs, providing expert SHE guidance to ensure the safe construction and successful delivery of the next generation of Nuclear Submarines. We also offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
