Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing complex civil litigation cases across a diverse range of practice areas in corporate defense in the fields of General Liability, Personal Injury, Products Liability, Workers' Compensation, Employment Defense, and Transportation Matters. Your expertise will drive case strategy, facilitate negotiations, and ensure thorough legal research and drafting to support favorable outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to collaborate with a dynamic and talented legal team.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Conduct detailed legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to inform case strategy and stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
- Draft precise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with clarity and professionalism.
- Advise clients on legal rights and options.
- Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining client interests and fostering positive relationships with opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving general liability to develop innovative solutions.
- Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural rules and deadlines.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in civil litigation with a strong understanding of litigation procedures and strategies.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; excellent research skills are essential.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal drafting tailored to various audiences.
- Familiarity with multiple practice areas including; workers' compensation law, personal injury law, general liability, employment law, and products liability is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills coupled with the ability to think critically under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135, $180,000.00 per year
