Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young children, fostering their development, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. This role requires strong classroom management skills, experience with toddlers, and a deep understanding of childhood development principles. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children's growth and ensuring they receive high-quality care and education.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers.
  • Supervise and engage children during daily activities, including playtime, learning sessions, and rest periods.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's activities, developmental progress, and any incidents or concerns.
  • Lead classroom setup and organization to facilitate a stimulating learning environment conducive to toddler exploration and growth.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills in a toddler or preschool environment.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices for early childhood education.
  • Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or required upon hiring.
  • Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting involving young children is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for toddlers.
