Medical Assistant

**Position Overview**

Parkway Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and administrative skills, and a strong attention to detail. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

• Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering vaccines, and collecting lab specimens.

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, answering phones, and addressing patient inquiries.

• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient flow.

• Assist with educating patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

• Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and practice policies and procedures.

**Qualifications:**

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in pediatrics or family medicine.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and basic medical software.

• Strong clinical skills

-Vaccine administration, and vital sign measurement.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
