Job Summary:
Are you ready to be at the forefront of our logistics operations? We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Sacramento, California location. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in preparing outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipping information, generating shipping labels, loading trucks, and maintaining shipping documentation. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Physical stamina is important, including the ability to lift packages. Upholding safety standards and utilizing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate shipping labels and other necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Load and unload shipments from delivery vehicles.
  • Verify shipping addresses and order details.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
  • Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages.
  • Ensure the shipping area is organized and hazard-free.
  • Contribute to efficient logistics processes and timelines.
  • Perform tasks involving lifting and moving packages as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and common office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
  • Capability to lift packages of varying weights, typically up to 40 pounds.
  • Understanding of shipping logistics and carrier requirements.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
