Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS technologies to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, including data entry into AS400 systems and shipping & receiving logs.
• Monitor fleet management systems to ensure vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate shipments and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements within supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of GPS, GIS, and fleet management tools to support transportation planning.
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and optimizing dispatch operations.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, transportation planning, and logistics best practices is highly desirable.
