This position is ideal for a seasoned carpenter who is ready to step into a leadership role, ensuring the project runs smoothly day-to-day—particularly when the Project Manager is off-site.

The Foreman will serve as the on-site point person, maintaining workflow, quality, safety, and communication between trades while supporting the Project Manager's directives. This is a key role on our larger projects, and we are hiring one dedicated foreman to oversee daily field operations.

  • Coordinates with the Project Manager regarding daily priorities, schedule shifts, and material needs.

Quality & Productivity

  • Ensures work is being performed according to plans, specifications, and high-level craftsmanship standards.

  • Verifies measurements, layout, and framing during all phases of carpentry work.

  • Troubleshoots issues on-site and resolves minor problems immediately; communicates major concerns to PM.

Skilled Carpentry Work

  • Performs hands-on carpentry as needed, including framing, trim work, installation, and site-built components.

  • Reads and interprets construction drawings and can guide others based on plans and details.

  • Assists in mock-ups, layout, and specialty installations that require precision carpentry skills.

Jobsite Coordination

  • Helps manage deliveries, staging of materials, and subcontractor access.

  • Conducts walk-throughs to ensure jobsite cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety policies.

  • Maintains daily logs, photographs, and updates for project documentation.

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with trades, clients, and the internal team.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforces safety protocols and ensures all workers are following OSHA guidelines.

  • Identifies hazards and mitigates risks immediately.

  • Ensures equipment, tools, and machinery are used properly and maintained on-site.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years carpentry experience; high-end residential new-build experience preferred.

  • Prior experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or Site Supervisor strongly desired.

  • Ability to read blueprints, architectural details, and structural drawings independently.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct crews respectfully and effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication habits.

  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
