Asphalt Paving Foreman

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Supervisor to lead and oversee paving projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of asphalt paving processes. This role involves supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and managing project timelines effectively. The Asphalt Paving Supervisor will play a vital role in delivering successful projects while adhering to all safety and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews to ensure efficient and safe operations on-site
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in multiple aspects of asphalt paving
• Coordinate daily activities, including equipment setup, material placement, finishing operations, and tickets
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations at all times
• Conduct quality control inspections to meet project specifications and industry standards
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Daily paperwork consisting of job tickets, pictures, receipts, crew attendance
• Maintain detailed documentation of work activities, safety incidents, and project progress
• Train and supervise team members, fostering a productive work environment focused on safety and quality

Skills

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on asphalt paving projects
• Knowledge of all aspects of a paving operations, including milling
• Ability to operate paving equipment and train crew members Supervising experience in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols
• Skilled in project scheduling, and production
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring adherence to specifications
• Ability to train crew members on the process asphalt paving and equipment
• Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
