16' / 26' Box Truck Driver

Looking for a driver for a dedicated run from Fridley, MN to Chicago, IL. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with deliveries and must possess their own 16' or 26' box truck. Dock-height, tuck-under lift gate preferred) as well as a valid driver's license. This position will require you to load and unload pallet jacks, deliver loads, and work in a warehouse environment. A successful delivery driver will own their own box truck. Drivers must follow set schedules and execute 100% of their scheduled loads. Absolutely no cancellations. Short-term contracts are available for dependable and proven drivers.

Responsibilities

• Transport general freight from Fridley, MN to Chicago facility
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Report to facility 30 minutes before schedule arrival time.
• Follow routes and meet delivery schedules - Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Ability to use app to scan all freight at pick up and drop off location.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid drivers license
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to provide your own box truck

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: Up to $750.00 per day
