Concrete Finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to high standards of quality and safety, ensuring durable and aesthetically pleasing results on various construction projects. This role requires hands-on experience with concrete finishing techniques, knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to work efficiently on-site in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
• Set forms and install rebar as needed for concrete structures, ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and effectively during pouring and finishing processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute project specifications accurately.
• Apply skills such as plastering, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and masonry work as required for project completion.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
• Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, metal stud framing, and restoration teams to ensure seamless project workflow.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
• Follow safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation, scaffolding, formwork, and site hazards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in concrete finishing on commercial or residential construction sites.
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and concrete forming techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools (trowels, floats), power tools (grinders, mixers), and heavy equipment operation related to concrete work.
• Familiarity with rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry, welding, stucco application, and restoration projects is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.
• Experience with concrete pumping systems is advantageous.
