Data Engineer - Reinsurance Data & Insights Join Guy Carpenter as a Data Engineer to build data‑driven applications, pipelines, and unified data models to collect, analyse, and visualise reinsurance transactions, market trends, and purchasing behaviour. You will work alongside our Lead Data Engineer and your Data & Insights practice to empower colleagues and clients across multiple global offices.
Responsibilities
Deliver solutions from concept to implementation in a growing team.
Explore solutions for outdated applications, unstructured data, and decentralised file storage.
Collaborate and share best practices with other engineering teams at Guy Carpenter and Marsh McLennan.
Qualifications
Background in Analytics, Data or Software Engineering roles.
Experience or strong understanding of Product Management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business, technical, and development teams.
Expert knowledge in Python backend frameworks, ideally Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
What makes you stand out?
Experience with low‑code front‑end frameworks (e.g. Streamlit or Dash).
Experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular); familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Databricks, SQL, Power BI).
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
