Journeyman Electrician – Commercial / Industrial
We're hiring experienced electricians for a short-term project at Samsung in Taylor, TX

Pay $35 an hour

$100/day Per diem available for travelers

58 hours per week

Requirements:

• Background check
• Drug test
• Commercial / industrial experience
• Reliable transportation & PPE
• Able to pass site security clearance
• Fully tooled-including metric tools and channel locks
• Start Date Tuesday 12/15
• 2 week break for the holidays, then back to work
• Project expected to last a month, possible extension

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, adhering to NEC codes and schematics.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical projects accurately.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation processes.
• Perform wiring for high voltage and low voltage applications on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople such as frame carpenters and handymen to complete projects on time.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes; conduct inspections for quality assurance.
• Assist in the planning and execution of electrical layouts for new constructions or renovations.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations and safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites with experience in renovation projects.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical issues efficiently.
• Excellent understanding of schematics interpretation, blueprint reading, and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring high attention to safety standards.
