In 2025 Cobalt will complete more than 30 projects across a wide spectrum of project scopes (new construction, additions, renovations), project types (infill, small tract developments), and client types (internal speculative construction, third party speculative construction, custom homes, and personal residences).

We are seeking an experienced residential Construction Manager with at least three years of direct construction experience. Benefits for this position include a company-provided truck.

Position Summary: The Construction Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day construction on several residential projects. The Construction Manager will work together with the Project Manager on each project and will be responsible for executing construction in a manner that delivers a superior home on schedule, on budget, in compliance with all building codes and to the satisfaction of the homeowner or home buyer client.

Spanish language skills are beneficial for this position.

Classification: Full-time, exempt position

Primary Job Duties:

Construction Management

  • Hire and schedule subcontractors on job sites and oversee their trade work.
  • Coordinate with vendors on deliveries of materials.
  • Ensure each job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Ensure that project work is completed in accordance with all local and national building codes and best practices.
  • All other duties as necessary to ensure successful completion of projects.

Administrative and Client Management

  • Report on the status of project to the Project Manager and management team.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Review and approve all invoices related to assigned projects.
  • Assist Project Manager with recordkeeping, budget tracking and job schedules.

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Bradford Shared Service's core values
  • High School diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of building code requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Effective computer skills: daily email communication on project status, costs and issues with management and homeowners is a must
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Must hold a valid Tennessee driver's license and acceptable driving record per insurance requirements
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $100,000.00 per year
