Pediatric Dental Associates has an amazing opportunity for a Dental Hygiene Assistant /Floater. The Dental Hygiene Assistant/Floater's primary responsibility is to keep the clinical staff on schedule by actively communicating with team members, multitasking, and assisting during exams when needed. The hygiene assistant should be knowledgeable about reading the schedule to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Essential Functions

All employees of Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Associates are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and uphold the safety and well-being of our patients.
- Assist as needed to help the dentist or staff member complete minor procedures
- Keep staff and doctors on time by monitoring the schedule
- Seating/Dismissing Patients
- Apply Fluoride, and floss
- Standing in on exams with the doctor for dental hygienist, as needed
- Assisting dental hygienist with charting and documentation in clinical notes
- Take and process X-rays
- Clean rooms and flip patient chairs
- Sterilizing Instruments
- Stabilize and calm patients during procedures as needed
- Must understand potential risks and be able to be in the presence of N20
- Assistant dental hygienist with other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year experience in a Dental office preferred
- Knowledge of Dental terminology and ADA/CPT Codes preferred
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and the capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
- Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjust to changes in workloads and assignments
- Valid driver's license is required
