The CT Technologist performs a variety of computerized tomographic procedures under the supervision of the Radiologist, utilizing knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques. CT Technologist is one who successfully acquired certification in CT. Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), CT certification preferred. While experience in CT or a related radiology position is preferred, UVM Medical Center offers on-the-job CT training to candidates with active ARRT certification. Education materials are provided, and the cost of the CT certification exam is reimbursed after successfully passing the exam. New graduates are encouraged to apply! This position works nine 8-hour evening shifts over a two-week pay period. WHY UVM MEDICAL CENTER (UVMMC)? Using state-of-the-art equipment, the CT team performs specialized exams for all certifications, including Cardiac, TAVI and research. We use Philips scanners, Epic EMR, and Visage for a PACS system.
