Professional Expert Opportunity

Health Sciences Division at Pasadena City College is hiring three Professional Experts to support the needs of laboratory classes offered by the Nursing and Allied Health Programs.

Hourly rate: $28.00/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. May work between 20 to 40 hours per week. May be required to work evening hours depending on campus events.

Examples Of Duties:
  • Assist faculty and lab technicians with organization, inventory, supplies and materials needed to support lab classes.
  • Assist lab technicians and faculty with the organization and preparation day-to-day needs of the lab classes offered by the Health Sciences Division.
  • Assist with identification and compilation of supplies and materials needed to support skills labs.
  • Timely reporting to faculty and classified staff if needed materials are not available.
  • Assist classified staff with unpacking and organization of laboratory supplies and equipment needed to support instructional programs.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the types of supplies and equipment commonly used in clinical settings, including safe handling of sterile and contaminated medical supplies.
  • Healthcare certificate or bachelor's degree in allied health, nursing, or a related field; and at least 3 months of professional experience.
