They’re a global company with iconic brands like American Standard and GROHE, and they’re now looking for a Backend Software Developer to join their water-saving innovation team, Hydrific. In this hybrid role (1-2 days in Manhattan office), you’ll be a key player in developing next-generation IoT solutions that promote water conservation in homes worldwide! Here’s what you’ll do: Build, test, and deploy high-quality backend code for our water-saving applications Analyze and refine data processing algorithms to optimize product performance Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand and meet their needs Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments Manage and maintain our existing backend infrastructure Work with the QA team to ensure top-notch code quality Are you a perfect fit? You have 6+ years of experience building scalable software solutions with a focus on backend systems You have 5+ years of experience with web frameworks and platform engineering in production You have some experience with mobile development and backend integration You understand data processing pipelines, algorithms, and time-series data You’re passionate about quality and have a strong testing ethic You have a proven track record of shipping software in an agile environment You can solve complex problems and deliver creative solutions You have excellent communication skills You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) Tech Stack: Programming Languages: Elixir (preferred), Java, Go, Python, C/C++ Databases: PostgreSQL APIs: GraphQL, REST Other: TimescaleDB, Grafana, Flutter, AWS, IoT technologies (MQTT) Bonus points if you have experience with: Firmware development and IoT devices Electrical engineering and basic electronics device prototyping Why LIXIL?
