Analyze and improve backend infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Design, build, and maintain APIs and backend logic using Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS services (Lambda, EC2, ECS, Fargate, Docker).
Debug production-level bugs and collaborate with support to resolve issues quickly.
Review, maintain, and refactor legacy codebases with a focus on testability and maintainability.
Contribute to code quality through thorough Pull Request reviews.
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless client-server interaction.
Partner with product and design teams to scope features and deliver business outcomes.
Document workflows, processes, and engineering best practices.

Backend systems handle millions of daily requests with stability and performance.
Critical bugs are resolved promptly with clear ownership.
Code is testable, maintainable, and meets high engineering standards.
Collaboration across engineering, product, and support is seamless and proactive.
Developer experience is improved through automation and refactoring.
Backend architecture is designed with scalability and maintainability in mind.
Production issues are addressed with clarity and accountability.
You help drive team velocity by unblocking others and reducing tech debt.
You’ll Excel If You Have
5-8+ years of backend development experience, preferably in high-scale environments.
Proven experience managing systems with 5M+ daily requests.
Strong hands-on experience in Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS (Lambda, EC2, ECS, Fargate, Docker).
Advanced understanding of RESTful API design, asynchronous systems, and DB performance tuning.
2-3 years of hands-on experience with GraphQL and scalable schema design.
Strong communication skillswritten and verbal.
Ability to work independently in remote, async environments.
Willingness to work overlapping hours with US-based teams and customers.
Startup experience with a bias for speed, ownership, and iteration.
Interest in creating backend systems that support excellent user experiences.
Bonus: Exposure to frontend technologies, especially Vue.js or modern JavaScript frameworks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
