RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, directs, and executes activities pertaining to development, application and maintenance of quality management system standards for McGard/LDM processes, materials and products.
JOB DUTIES
Committed to ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement within area of expertise, as well as areas of business to satisfy customers.
Complete and maintain all required safety classes, trainings, and certifications for the position/department.
Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities for quality objectives.
Work regularly scheduled shift; ability to work overtime and weekends.
Comply with related IATF/ISO procedures, as applicable.
Meet qualitative and quantitative standards for the position and department.
Root Cause/Corrective Action (CAR) Development
Assist other departments with the development of root‑cause and corrective action activities.
Ensure proper root‑cause analysis is performed.
Approve CARs and ensure proper follow‑up of the root‑cause solution and implementation.
QUALITY SYSTEMS
Design, install, and evaluate quality process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques for new and existing products.
Active team member contributing to advance quality planning processes.
Develop procedures for inspection and testing criteria, including Control Plans and Process Flows.
Lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT
Work with suppliers to ensure their quality management system meets our expectations.
Assist and mentor suppliers with corrective actions and root‑cause development.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Strong working knowledge of all processes in LDM and McGard, including manufacturing, assembly, outside processes, shipping, production control, and product development.
Trained in problem solving techniques including Six Sigma and root‑cause analysis.
COACHING & MENTORING
Assist other departments with root‑cause analysis.
Provide guidance and mentoring to QA Technicians.
Train QA and other departments on quality concepts, problem‑solving tools, and quality management systems.
CUSTOMER FOCUS
Coordinate and assist with customer audits and visits.
Work directly with customers on quality related issues.

EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
B.S. in Industrial/Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related curriculum preferred.
Three (3) years minimum experience in a quality related position.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus.
IATF/ISO and APQP experience preferred.
Advanced Excel skills.
Minitab experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Position requires individual to be capable of traveling & working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level is usually moderate.
