JOB TITLE: Software QA Engineer LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite) PAY RANGE: $54 - $64/hr. DURATION: 6 Months
TOP 3 SKILLS:
5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance within a cross-functional environment. Strong experience testing enterprise-level applications across Cloud, Mobile App, and hardware-in-the-loop platforms. Proven experience with system-level end-to-end testing, backend log analysis/debugging, and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
Job Description: s a Software QA Engineer on our Product Software Quality Assurance team, you will be at the forefront of driving quality standards for mission-critical vehicle-to-cloud communication systems. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks, define key quality metrics, and uphold the stringent standards required for safety-critical systems. Your contributions will be pivotal in ensuring the high quality, reliability, and performance of our communication infrastructure, supporting the secure, safe, and efficient operation of our autonomous vehicle fleet.
In this role, you will:
Design, implement, and execute test plans for end-to-end functionalities and new features, ensuring optimal test coverage. Execute testing across components and test platforms to ensure system-level coverage. Collaborate with teams of world-class engineers from diverse backgrounds, sharing your knowledge and learning from areas of distributed computing, rider experience, web and mobile applications, autonomous driving, mapping, AI, and software infrastructure. Travel to test locations (Las Vegas, San Francisco) for on-site testing.
Qualifications:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance in a cross-functional environment. Strong experience testing large enterprise-level applications across platforms such as Cloud, Mobile App, and hardware-in-the-loop systems. Proven track record in system-level end-to-end testing, coupled with advanced debugging skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret backend application logs to identify root causes of issues. Strong practical experience with industry-standard test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with test automation using PyTest.
