About Navia
Navia Benefit Solutions is a leading administrator of consumer-directed benefits and recordkeeping solutions, supporting employers and participants across HSA, FSA, HRA, COBRA, commuter, and retirement programs. The organization is undergoing a large-scale modernization initiative focused on consolidating legacy systems, improving operational scalability, enhancing compliance workflows, and creating a more unified backend platform experience across multiple business lines.
This is a highly visible opportunity to drive execution of the modernization roadmap across multiple delivery teams while partnering directly with executive leadership, compliance stakeholders, engineering, operations, and external vendors.
About the Role
Navia is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead modernization, consolidation, and migration execution across our portfolio of 10+ interconnected core recordkeeping and benefits administration platforms, including proprietary administration systems, third-party benefits administration platforms, and a retirement administration portfolio that touches multiple downstream systems.
This is a multi-team product leadership role. The Principal Product Manager owns the modernization product strategy across multiple scrum teams, coordinates priorities and release sequencing across multiple Product Owners (who own their individual team backlogs), and drives execution of the platform consolidation roadmap from current state into the target architecture.
The role sits at the intersection of product, systems architecture, compliance, fraud prevention, and operations. The ideal candidate understands how complex operational systems work behind the scenes, has led multi-team product execution at portfolio scale, and can bridge business requirements with technical execution across engineering, data, compliance, and third-party integrations.
This position partners cross-functionally with executive leadership, engineering, operations, compliance, fraud, finance, and external vendors. There are no direct reports; influence flows through cross-team product leadership, technical depth, and ownership of complex modernization decisions. Multiple Product Owners coordinate with this role on backlog priorities aligned to the roadmap.
The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, facilitating modernization workshops, sequencing complex multi-team delivery, and driving execution across multiple interconnected systems and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Lead the modernization and consolidation product roadmap execution across multiple scrum teams supporting the full benefits administration portfolio
Coordinate product priorities, release sequencing, and dependencies across multiple Product Owners — each owning their team's individual backlog — to deliver the portfolio roadmap
Own end-to-end execution of platform migration workstreams from current-state architecture into the target environment
Partner with engineering, compliance, operations, fraud, finance, and executive leadership to define and continuously refine product and platform strategy
Translate complex operational and regulatory requirements into scalable technical product solutions, with deep attention to HIPAA and PHI/PII compliance across every system touch point
Drive backend platform improvements related to data architecture, integrations, workflows, reporting, and operational tooling across the team-of-teams
Own technical product execution for initiatives spanning HSA, FSA, HRA, COBRA, retirement administration, commuter, compliance systems, and fraud operations
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to identify gaps across legacy systems and define future-state architecture requirements
Work closely with engineering teams on APIs, data flows, platform dependencies, migration planning, and systems interoperability across third-party retirement administration platforms
Prioritize modernization roadmaps balancing business impact, compliance risk, technical debt, and operational scalability across competing demands from multiple delivery teams
Help establish long-term product strategy around recordkeeping, retirement administration, and backend administration infrastructure
Required Experience & Skillset
7+ years of Product Management experience in highly technical environments, with at least 3 years operating at a Principal or senior-IC level
Demonstrated experience leading multi-team product execution — coordinating priorities and roadmaps across multiple Product Owners or scrum teams
Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager working closely with engineering and architecture teams
Demonstrated track record leading systems modernization, platform consolidation, or enterprise transformation initiatives at portfolio scale (multiple interconnected systems, not single-platform ownership)
Experience working within benefits administration, recordkeeping, fintech, healthcare administration, retirement services, payroll, or other highly regulated industries
Deep understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and PII compliance requirements in a multi-system environment
Demonstrated experience with backend systems, APIs, integrations, and data architecture concepts
Experience supporting compliance-heavy workflows and operational systems
Familiarity with fraud prevention, compliance reporting, auditability, or regulated operational environments
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, compliance, finance, and executive stakeholders — with influence flowing through expertise, not reporting line
Strong experience driving execution across multiple concurrent dependencies and team boundaries
Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and organizational change
Nice to Have
Experience with HSA, FSA, COBRA, HRA, or retirement administration platforms
Experience leading post-vendor-decision migration execution at multi-team scale
Exposure to healthcare benefits compliance, retirement administration (TPA / plan sponsor / NSCC), or financial regulatory environments
Experience with enterprise data migrations or platform re-architecture initiatives
Familiarity with fraud tooling, operational analytics, or compliance automation workflows
Prior experience in PE-backed or rapidly evolving organizations
Experience operating in a Scaled Agile / multi-ART or multi-scrum-team environment
Why This Role Is Interesting
Multi-team product leadership across the full recordkeeping + benefits administration portfolio
Anchor role driving execution of a large-scale platform consolidation effort already underway with executive sponsorship
Coordinate product priorities across multiple Product Owners — meaningful breadth of influence without reporting-line management
Blend of product strategy, technical systems thinking, and multi-team operational execution
Ability to shape architecture and modernization decisions from a position of execution authority
Fully remote opportunity, contract-to-perm with strong long-term potential
