OverviewJoin to apply for the Cloud DevOps Engineer role at Manchester Digital.About the RoleWe’re seeking Cloud DevOps Engineers who want to grow their career and delight customers through a hybrid of project and foundational activities. The team works collaboratively in pods to deliver and maintain cloud services to UK clients. The environment is supportive and team‑oriented, with a focus on delivering value and strong customer outcomes.Hybrid working: The places you work from will vary by role and business needs, blending Company offices, client sites, and your home; you will not be able to work from home 100% of the time.If offered this position, you will go through pre‑employment checks including identity, nationality/immigration status, employment history for the last 3 years, and a DBS check.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain cloud platforms with emphasis on technical reuse, standardisation, and blueprints; focus on code‑driven approaches rather than “ClickOps”.Work in an agile style, aligning with customer outcomes through collaborative, sprint‑based activities.Develop and strengthen capabilities in platform engineering through training, certifications, and hands‑on experience.Collaborate and influence iterative Capgemini offerings.Your Skills and ExperienceExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.Scripting and resource monitoring using YAML, PowerShell, JSON, or Python, with automation focus.Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as CloudFormation, ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps Boards/Pipelines/Artifacts) and observability tools (e.g., Splunk).Experience contributing to end‑to‑end delivery using ITIL frameworks with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.Security clearanceTo be appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the applicant must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria.
