The Security and Anti-Fraud team (short for SAF) works to create and maintain the safest operating environment protecting hundreds of employees and millions of end-users. We lead, design, execute, and manage security initiatives, projects, products, and features across all marketplaces to improve the security of the infrastructure and our marketplaces, ensuring the safety of our employees and end-users. We actively monitor our infrastructure, systems, platforms, and marketplaces for attacks, intrusions, and fraud signals, and mitigate them. SMG values security, and SAF’s mission is to protect the users and their data without sacrificing User Experience or convenience.

The SAF team reports directly to the CEO. In this role, you will work with software engineers, product managers, IT, SRE, and platform teams to proactively identify and improve the security of the marketplaces. You will be responsible for the design and architecture of security initiatives and features across SMG, protecting hundreds of employees and millions of customers on our marketplaces.

About the position:

1. Initiate and lead projects to ensure the safety of our customers and their data
2. Lead strategic initiatives and play an active role in implementing solutions that require cross-functional participation
3. Research trends, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and measure the effectiveness of our security controls
4. Develop deep industry and technology expertise to stay ahead of adversarial actors

You have completed your university studies in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field. Technical knowledge in fraud detection/prevention, cloud security, security operations, virtualization, IAM, network security, and product security is required. Experience in analyzing security problems, threat modeling, security architecture, security reviews, and assessing security features is also needed. Proficiency in Web Development, coding languages (e.g., Java, Go, NodeJS, TypeScript), databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL), and leading engineering teams is essential.
