We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our organisation's information technology operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a standalone capacity and able to collaborate with the global IT team. They will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, ensuring information security, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role requires a strong background in server management, network security, and disaster recovery, along with excellent leadership and project management skills.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
* Ensure the security of information systems by implementing robust security protocols and practices.
* Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and systems.
* Oversee systems engineering projects and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
* Provide technical support for users, including desktop support and remote access solutions.
* Supervise the IT team, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring efficient workflow.
* Conduct regular analysis of network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
* Manage network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN configurations and firewall settings.
* Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and develop solutions.
* Maintain documentation of IT processes using tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
*Skills*
* Proficient in server management, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments.
* Strong knowledge of information security principles and practices.
* Experience with network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
* Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
* Expertise in systems engineering principles and practices.
* Proficient in using SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.
* Experience with Active Directory for user management and authentication.
* Knowledge of ITIL best practices for service management.
* Strong technical support skills across various platforms (desktop support, remote access software).
* Excellent computer networking skills, including DHCP, IIS, SQL, vSphere, AWS, Azure, Cisco routers.
* Proven project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
* Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and troubleshoot issues.
* Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in supervising IT staff.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
