About the job:
As a Technical Marketing Engineer for Flow Control West, you will report directly to the Head of Technical Marketing for Flow Control West. In this role, you will provide your technical expertise and thorough knowledge in refractories applications to support all sales activities related to Flow Control products, solutions, and customer processes. You will actively promote our Flow Control refractories portfolio, systems, and solutions to gain new market share and contribute to the green transformation of the steel industry. Moreover, you will work in close collaboration with the regional Sales, R&D, and Operations teams. During work, you will be travelling (inter)nationally for approx. 50% - 70% of the time.
In addition, your tasks will include:
Evaluating market developments including specific customer pain points and conducting competitor analyses
Preparing and supervising service trials
Actively supporting product rollout activities, implementing new products, systems and solutions in the market
About you:
You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. Your empathy and open-minded approach help you gain a solid understanding of the customer needs. With your analytical and solution-oriented working style, you can transform the identified customer needs into specific growth opportunities. You have a hands-on and proactive mentality and take decisions, when required.
What we expect from you in terms of
Education
University degree or higher education in Metallurgy, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or in a similar field
Excellent project management skills
Good MS Office skills and digital affinity
Driving license B
Languages
German – Proficient/Fluent
English – Advanced
Dutch is considered an asset
Work Experience
Several years in the steel industry or in any other area of a comparable industry would be highly beneficial, but not a must
