Wexford Credit Union is now looking for a Credit Control Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious, forward looking community credit union. The Credit Control Administrator role is a full-time permanent role based in Wexford town. This role will involve some Saturday work. This role will report directly to the Credit Control Manager and work closely with the credit control team on a day-to-day basis, with responsibility for progressive implementation of and adherence to credit union policy and procedures. This role will support the delivery of an efficient service to our valued members while minimising accounts in arrears. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring member accounts to ensure the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the progressive implementation of the credit unions Credit Control Policy and procedures, providing an efficient service to members within authorised limits, as granted, while minimising the number of accounts in arrears. Daily Management and evaluation of assigned work lists, phones, emails and correspondence. Engage with members, conduct and assess financial reviews with a view to developing tailored repayment plans Negotiate members payment plans while maintaining a good working relationship with members who are in difficulty to facilitate adherence to payment terms. Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with external stakeholders. Liaise with third parties i.e. MABS, PIPs, tracing agents etc as required. Document/record up to date notes in line with current GDPR guidelines. Provide exemplary service to all members by efficiently resolving member queries/issues in a professional and proficient manner. Maintain proper training/upskilling as required under CPD. Any other duties as required by the Credit Control Manager. The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business The successful candidate will have: QFA qualification preferred (or working towards the qualification) Previous Credit Control experience would be an advantage Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain a direct approach while demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism. Excellent planning and organisational skills required as well as a detail orientated focus with a high level of accuracy. Must possess excellent active listening skills to accurately respond to member queries/needs. Must be team oriented with the ability to work on your own initiative. Demonstrate good problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as strong analytical and numerical skills. Show strong initiative, flexibility, and reliability with a positive attitude to change. Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity. Strong computer literacy is essential. Ability to deal with problematic members and challenging situations in a fair, empathetic and where appropriate an assertive manner. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Proven ability to multitask and take ownership of projects. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
